Late Work:
For circumstances that cause a student to turn in late work (illness, absence, death in family, etc) students will be given 5 days from the date they return to class to finish the work. The instructor always evaluates individual circumstances. For instances where work isn’t turned in on time and there are no extenuating circumstances the highest grade given will be a 70. The formula for their late work grade is: Grade achieved x .7 x 100= Grade received. If work from the previous quarter is turned in late then the highest grade possible will be a 50. In the event that a student misses a lab, they will have to navigate to the google classroom tab labeled “Lab Alternatives”. Once there, they will need to follow the instructions to print off the information and hand write answers before submitting it for a grade. The late work policy applies to all missed labs.
Semester Evaluation:
40% Summative (mainly tests and final project or Milestone)
40% Formative (quizzes, labs, and other assignments)
Semester Average
The grades listed above = 80%
Final Exam= 20% (NO EXEMPTIONS!)
